Manchester City moved to within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal after a convincing 3–0 win over Fulham on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side entered the fixture aiming to build on their dramatic 2–1 comeback victory against Liverpool last weekend, and they delivered a dominant first-half performance at the Etihad Stadium.
City took the lead through Antoine Semenyo, who later provided the assist for Nico O’Reilly to double the advantage. Erling Haaland then capped the first-half display, finishing clinically after being picked out by Phil Foden.
The result lifts Manchester City to 53 points on the league table, narrowing the gap on Arsenal, who sit top with 56 points ahead of their away clash against Brentford on Thursday night.
