Arsenal on Friday announced two contract-related decisions involving academy players ahead of their Premier League clash with Leeds United on Saturday.
In a statement published on the club’s official website, the Gunners confirmed that highly rated youngster Max Dowman has signed a pre-contract agreement, paving the way for him to put pen to paper on professional terms when he turns 17 in December.
Dowman joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight and has continued to impress as he progressed through the Hale End system, setting several youth-level records along the way. Comfortable as both an attacking midfielder and a winger, his technical quality, vision, and versatility have marked him out as one of England’s most promising young talents.
In a separate development, Arsenal also announced that defender Maldini Kacurri has completed a permanent transfer to League Two side Grimsby Town.
Kacurri joined the North London club in 2022 and signed his first professional contract in June 2024. The 20-year-old recently returned from a successful loan spell with National League outfit Morecambe before sealing his move away from the Emirates.
