FirstPower Electricity Distribution Limited (FPEDL) has announced a scheduled power interruption across parts of Anambra State.
In a statement released on Friday, the company said the outage will occur on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
FPEDL explained that the blackout is necessary to allow a Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) team to install a TR13 60MVA transformer and reconfigure outgoing feeders at the Onitsha Transmission Station.
The planned outage will affect bulk electricity supply to several feeders, including Army Barracks, Awada, Obosi, Umunya, Juddy Bolema, Nnewi Oba, Nnewi Industrial, Ossomala, 3-3, Niccus, Ogidi, as well as the Nwaziki 11kV and Woliwo 11kV feeders.
“FirstPower Electricity Distribution Limited (FPEDL) wishes to inform her esteemed customers that there will be a planned power outage on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,” the statement read.
