Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has named Asake, Rema, and Omah Lay as the next generation of global stars set to dominate the genre.
The singer made the prediction during a recent livestream with popular content creator Carter Efe, where he was asked about artists he believes will succeed him, Wizkid and Burna Boy—widely regarded as Afrobeats’ “Big 3.”
“Asake, Omah Lay, and Rema are the next GOATs of Afrobeats,” Davido said.
During the conversation, the DMW boss also spoke about his dream collaborations, revealing that he hopes to work with global pop icon Rihanna, as well as American singer Kehlani.
“I would love to do a song with Rihanna. I think I and Rihanna would make some dope music. Kehlani as well,” he added.
