Nigerian music star Davido has revealed that he is taking an indefinite break from making music.
The award-winning singer made the announcement during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, where he urged fans to stop asking about new releases.
According to the “OBO” crooner, he is currently on a musical sabbatical and does not feel pressured to release fresh songs to remain relevant in the industry.
“Stop asking me when I am dropping new music. I am on a musical break. Like I said, if you go to the club right now, 10 out of 20 songs are mine. So I am on a musical break,” Davido said.
The singer also shared his thoughts on the growing celebrity boxing scene in Nigeria, describing the initiative as a positive development for the entertainment industry.
“I am actually impressed by the celebrity boxing tournament. It is a welcome development,” he added.
The celebrity boxing tournament has continued to gain popularity in recent months. Popular streamer Carter Efe recently defeated controversial singer Portable to emerge as the new champion.
