The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the Enugu State governorship election.
Mbah emerged winner after defeating his closest rival, Chijioke Edoga of the Labour Party, LP.
The Returning Officer of the INEC in the state, Prof Maduebibisi Iwe declared Mbah the winner on Wednesday evening at the resumption of the final collation of governorship election results in Enugu the over 48 hours after INEC suspended the exercise in the State.
He announced that Mbah scored 160895 to defeat Edoga of LP who scored 157552.
