Former Rivers State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tonye Cole, has withdrawn from the party’s primary election scheduled to be held on Thursday.
Cole announced his withdrawal in a statement on Wednesday.
Nigerian Newssphere reports that Cole is a renowned Nigerian entrepreneur, co-founder, and former group executive director of Sahara Group.
The group is an energy conglomerate with operations spanning the entire energy chain in Nigeria and neighboring West African countries to East Africa and beyond.
Recall that Rivers APC has in recent times been faced with many crises, emanating from the screening of the House of Assembly aspirants for next year’s general elections.
