Former Political Adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Akin Osuntokun is Peter Obi’s new campaign director.
Labour Party National Chairman, Julius Abure made the announcement in Abuja on Tuesday after a meeting.
Abure noted that the decision was taken after wide consultations with party stakeholders.
Until now, Osuntokun was the Zonal Coordinator (South) of the LP Presidential Campaign Council.
The former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) was a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain.
In 2011, Osuntokun served as a director in the 2021 PDP Presidential Campaign Council for ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
The new DG succeeds Doyin Okupe, who resigned from the DG role recently. Like Osuntokun, Okupe served as a Senior Special Assistant to Obasanjo.
