The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has assured eligible voters participating in the Anambra State governorship election that their votes will count.
No fewer than 2.7 million voters, who have collected their Permanent Voters Crads, PVC are set to decide the next governor of Anambra State.
This is the first election that will be conducted under the leadership of the recently appointed INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan.
In a post on its official X handle on Saturday, INEC urged residents to go out and vote, stating that every vote must count.
“Be counted, be heard. Step out and vote peacefully. Every vote must count”, the electoral umpire wrote.
It also warned against vote selling, saying “your vote is not for sale”.
