Senegal on Friday secured a narrow victory over Mali to advance to the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Teranga Lions claimed the win thanks to a first-half strike by I. Ndiaye, which proved decisive in a tightly contested encounter.
Despite sustained pressure and chances from both sides in the second half, neither team was able to add to the scoreline, and the match ended 1–0 in favour of Senegal.
The victory makes Senegal the first nation to qualify for the semi-finals of the AFCON 2025 tournament.
