Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Saturday defeated Egypt on penalties to emerge as the third-place winner of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
The penalties ended 2-4 as Ademola Lookman secured the victory for Nigeria with his last kick.
Recall that Morocco defeated Nigeria on penalties in the semi-finals to proceed to the finals with Senegal.
The final is scheduled for Sunday, 18th January 2026.
