A disturbing incident has been reported in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, where a woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and killed the newborn shortly after delivery.
The incident reportedly occurred early hours of Sunday behind Government Secondary School, Gboko.
NIGERIAN NEWS SPHERE reports that the development sent shockwaves to all residents of the area.
Some of the residents are calling for immediate police intervention to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.
However, as at the time of filing this report, authorities are yet to issue an official statement as of the time of this report.
