The Director-General of the Protocol Directorate at the Kano State Government House, Abdullahi Rogo, has claimed that residents and voters in the state have agreed that former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the current governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, should defect from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Rogo made the claim in a viral video shared by Arewa Update on Sunday.
He said the decision followed a meeting involving the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and key members of the Kwankwasiyya political movement.
“After our meeting with the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and other Kwankwasiyya members, we agreed that Kwankwaso and Governor Abba K. Yusuf should move to the APC,” Rogo stated.
