Popular Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has rejected a $10,000 settlement allegedly offered by the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor.
Ogala disclosed this in a video recorded on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and shared on her Instagram page on Saturday. She said the cleric brought the money as part of a settlement and pleaded with her to publicly retract allegations she had earlier made against him.
According to the actress, the money was given in two tranches of $5,000 each after what she described as “table talks” between both parties. She further alleged that Okafor asked her to claim she was sponsored by other pastors to accuse him.
“This is $10,000. He gave me this $5,000 last night after we talked and he was pleading, then another $5,000 this afternoon,” she said.
Ogala accused the cleric of attempting to induce her to shift blame to other pastors in exchange for debunking her claims.
“You can imagine this man wanted me to come and say that some pastors were the ones who sent me to fight him… and then I should come out and debunk everything I have said,” she stated.
Rejecting the settlement, the actress insisted she would not lie or implicate anyone falsely.
“Chris, this money will never be a transaction of anything in my life. Everything I have said is the truth. I’m not lying, and I will never lie,” she said.
She added that accepting the money was only to show the public that it was offered to her.
“Ten thousand dollars is nothing to me. I’m not blackmailing you, but I wanted the world to see that you actually gave me money,” Ogala declared.
Nigerian Newssphere reports that the development comes days after the actress confirmed that reconciliation talks were ongoing between her and the cleric.
Recall that Ogala had earlier accused Pastor Okafor of dumping her for another woman after allegedly promising to marry her.
