The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has approved 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The decision was announced on Monday during the board’s policy meeting held in Abuja.
According to JAMB, the benchmark was adopted following a vote conducted among vice-chancellors present at the meeting.
The heads of tertiary institutions across the country also agreed on the minimum admissible scores for other institutions. Colleges of Nursing will admit candidates with a minimum score of 150, while polytechnics will maintain 100 as their cut-off mark.
More details are expected later.
