A member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The forms were officially presented on Tuesday in Abuja by the APC National OOrganizingSecretary, Suleiman Argungu, who also announced the commencement of the party’s nomination process.
Faleke, founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the documents on behalf of the Ppresident,signaling an early step toward Tinubu’s potential bid for a second term.
The nomination forms, reportedly valued at ₦100 million, are widely viewed as a formal indication of Tinubu’s intention to contest in the 2027 election.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027. Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are set for Saturday, February 6, 2027.
INEC also stated that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will hold between April 23 and May 30, 2026.
Campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to begin on August 19, 2026, while campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections will commence on September 9, 2026
