Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has backed Paris Saint-Germain to win this season’s UEFA Champions League.
PSG reached the semi-finals after eliminating Liverpool FC with a dominant 4-0 aggregate victory in the quarter-finals, marking the second consecutive year they have knocked out the Premier League side.
The French champions will now face Bayern Munich in the last four, while Arsenal FC are set to battle Atlético Madrid in the other semi-final clash.
Speaking in an interview with Il Giornale, Ancelotti said PSG have what it takes to go all the way and successfully defend their title according to Metro.
“I’ve seen some amazing high-scoring games, like Atlético Madrid vs Barcelona and Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid, which were exciting for the fans,” he said.
“The Champions League is a tournament that doesn’t always favor top teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City, but it remains a competition where teams can improve and grow.”
