BREAKING: NNPCL cuts petrol pump price after Dangote Refinery reduction

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol across its retail outlets following a recent price adjustment by Dangote Refinery.

Checks on Monday showed that NNPCL filling stations in Abuja lowered their price to N1,295 per litre from N1,361, representing a decrease of N71 per litre.

The price cut comes three days after Dangote Refinery slashed its gantry price of petrol by N85, bringing it down to N1,200 per liter from N1,285.

However, some marketers are yet to adjust their retail prices. Dangote-backed MRS Oil Nigeria Plc was still selling petrol at N1,367 per litre as of the time of filing this report.

Similarly, other filling stations, including Ranoil Nigeria Limited, Empire Energy, Emedab Petroleum, and TotalEnergies, have yet to review their prices downward, with pump prices ranging between N1,370 and N1,395 per liter.
