Galatasaray have confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery following an injury sustained in their recent European clash.
The Nigeria international picked up an arm injury during the club’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool FC in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 at Anfield last Wednesday, forcing him off at half-time.
In a statement released on Monday via the club’s official website, Galatasaray disclosed that the procedure was carried out successfully at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital by the team’s medical staff.
The forward is expected to be out of action for approximately four weeks as he begins recovery.
Despite their exit from European competition, Galatasaray remain focused on securing a domestic double for the second straight season.
