Iran bombs Int’l Airport in Azerbaijan as Middle East burns

Footage has surfaced showing the moment a drone strike hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, sending debris into the air after impact.

According to BBC, the government of Azerbaijan confirmed that drones launched from Iran targeted the country’s Nakhchivan exclave region on Thursday.

Officials said one of the drones struck the airport terminal, causing visible structural damage, while another reportedly landed close to a school in Shekarabad village.

The newly released video is said to capture the moment the drone hit the terminal structure, with part of the building visibly damaged following the explosion.

Authorities reported that at least two civilians were injured in the incident.

After the drone landed near the school in Shekarabad, local education facilities were evacuated as a precaution.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and summoned Iran’s ambassador to lodge a formal protest. The government also announced that troops had been placed on high alert along the border in response to the incident.
