Chelsea and Manchester United were both held to draws by their opponents, Leeds United and West Ham United, in Tuesday night’s English Premier League matches.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea let a two-goal lead slip to settle for a share of the spoils. João Pedro opened the scoring for the Blues in the 24th minute, while Cole Palmer doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.
Leeds United, however, staged a determined comeback. Lukas Nmecha pulled one back with a penalty before Noah Okafor struck the equalizer to deny Chelsea all three points. The draw leaves Chelsea on 44 points in the league standings.
Meanwhile, Manchester United was also forced to a draw away at West Ham. The Red Devils went ahead in the 50th minute, but B. Šeško grabbed a late equalizer in stoppage time to secure a point for the hosts.
United remain fifth on the Premier League table, behind Chelsea, while Arsenal continue to lead the standings with 56 points.
