HomeNEWSTransfer: Al-Nassr open to selling Ronaldo

Transfer: Al-Nassr open to selling Ronaldo

Al-Nassr are prepared to let Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club if he chooses to move on, according to the UK’s Mirror.

The report says Ronaldo’s contract includes a £43 million release clause, which is expected to become active at the end of the current season.

The Portugal captain has reportedly refused to feature in Al-Nassr’s last two Saudi Pro League matches, staging a protest over what he believes is unfair treatment by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Ronaldo is said to have accused the PIF of favoring rival clubs in the transfer market.

Saudi officials are reportedly surprised by his stance and are already considering alternative marquee signings, with plans to “crown a new king” should the five-time Ballon d’Or winner depart the Middle East.
