Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has finally addressed speculation that he has reconciled with his ex-wife, Annie Idibia, following a viral video of the pair dancing together.
Nigerian Newssphere reports that rumours of a reunion emerged after the romantic clip surfaced on social media, prompting widespread reactions from fans and celebrities. Some public figures who had taken sides during the couple’s divorce also expressed surprise over the development.
Reacting to the speculation on her Instagram Story on Monday, Annie dismissed the claims, writing: “Believe everything u see on social media at ur expense.”
2Baba has now also responded to the rumours, clarifying that the trending video is not recent.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the music icon wrote: “Abeg nah old video o.”
His reaction comes about one year and six months after he publicly announced his separation from Annie, putting to rest claims that the viral clip signalled a reconciliation between the former couple.
