2027: ADC, PDP in closed-door meeting

Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Professor Jerry Gana are currently holding a crucial stakeholders’ meeting.

Prominent figures at the gathering include ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark; former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; and Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi.

Other notable attendees are former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi; and Senator Aminu Tambuwal, among others.

Representing the PDP faction are Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde; factional National Chairman Professor Jerry Gana; former Senate President Adolphus Wabara; and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee.

However, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who was expected to represent the PDP, was notably absent from the meeting.

The development comes shortly after a protest held earlier in Abuja, which began at Maitama Roundabout and proceeded to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
