Tension has gripped the Super Eagles camp ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff against Gabon, as players and officials reportedly refused to train on Tuesday over unresolved payment issues.
According to Pooja Media, the team staged a boycott due to outstanding allowances and other financial commitments yet to be settled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The development comes just two days before the decisive qualifier, raising concerns about the team’s readiness and unity going into the match.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen has joined the squad in Rabat, Morocco, bringing the total number of players in camp to 21.
All eyes are now on the NFF to resolve the impasse swiftly and restore calm before the playoff encounter.
