John Amru, a graduate of the University of Jos (UniJos) who was recently abducted by terrorists, has regained his freedom.
In a video currently circulating on social media, Amru was seen reunited with his family members, expressing gratitude to God following his release.
Earlier, Nigerian Newssphere reported that a disturbing video showed the moment Amru, who was kidnapped along the Jos-Kaduna highway, was physically assaulted by his captors. The footage sparked widespread outrage, with many Nigerians decrying the deteriorating security situation in the country.
Days after the video went viral, rumors emerged claiming that he had been killed by the terrorists. However, on Monday, April 20, the abductors released another video confirming that Amru was still alive.
