Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira has delivered a strong verdict on the ongoing title races in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
Vieira predicted that Arsenal will edge out Manchester City to win the Premier League and also progress to the final of the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Frenchman said Arsenal has the momentum heading into a crucial weekend clash against City, while also preparing for a Champions League semi-final showdown with Atletico Madrid later this month.
“I believe there is enough in that Arsenal team to go to the final of the Champions League and even win the Premier League,” Vieira told CBS Sports.
“They just need some really important players to drive the team. I think Gabriel Magalhães can be one of those players, and Declan Rice can be another.”
Vieira’s comments come as Mikel Arteta’s side continues its push for major honors on both domestic and European fronts.
