The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of Taiwo Oyedele as a minister in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The confirmation was announced by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, after lawmakers approved the nomination through a voice vote during the Committee of the Whole session.
Oyedele is expected to replace Doris Uzoka-Anite as Minister of State for Finance.
Recall that President Tinubu had earlier forwarded Oyedele’s name to the Senate for screening and confirmation a few days after announcing his nomination.
