2. Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has escaped unhurt after being involved in a minor road accident on the Daura-Katsina road earlier this evening. The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, said Malam Radda was on official duty when the incident occurred.
3. Emerging reports indicate that Nigerians spent at least $29.29bn on foreign medical expenses during the eight years of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. This translates to an annual spending of about $3.6bn during the review period.
4. The Senate has warned the suspended lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, to desist from forcefully resuming her legislative duties on Tuesday. As the 21-day ultimatum it issued to the Federal Government draws to a close on July 23, the Nigerian Medical Association has warned it will ground medical services nationwide if the government fails to meet its demands. Its President, Prof Bala Audu, who confirmed this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Sunday, noted that the association was prepared to take decisive action should the government fail to respond adequately to its demands.
