Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has confirmed that she has accepted an apology from Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Ogala acknowledged the cleric’s gesture, writing, “Pastor Chris, please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted.”
Nigerian Newssphere reports that earlier in the day, Ogala had shared a video showing Pastor Okafor publicly seeking forgiveness. In the footage, the pastor was seen kneeling before his congregation as he expressed remorse over what he described as mistakes made in the past.
The development follows Ogala’s earlier accusations against the cleric, in which she alleged that he ended their relationship for another woman despite promising to marry her.
Addressing the controversy, Pastor Okafor maintained that several of the allegations leveled against him were untrue. However, he said he was willing to apologize to anyone who felt hurt by his actions.
“I am not joining issues,” he said, referring to Doris Ogala. “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said.”
Despite disputing parts of the claims, the cleric reiterated his readiness to make amends, stating that he was prepared to offer restitution to any woman he may have offended.
“To Doris Ogala, I will apologize, and I also apologize to everyone. I am ready to make a restitution to anyone and anybody, any lady, anywhere I’ve offended,” he said.
“I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me,” Pastor Okafor added.
