Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has intensified his criticism of the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, over the controversy surrounding the ban on the union’s operations in Osun State.
Nigerian Newssphere reports that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is also Davido’s uncle, recently prohibited the activities of the NURTW in the state ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
According to the governor, the move was aimed at restoring order in motor parks and halting the collection of levies.
However, MC Oluomo rejected the directive, insisting that the governor lacks the constitutional authority to suspend the union’s activities.
Reacting in a post on X, Davido mocked the NURTW president, writing: “MC Oluomo wey no fit compose sentence dey talk.. Kudosuuuu.”
The post generated mixed reactions on social media, with many users debating the singer’s remarks and questioning his criticism of the union leader.
Davido, however, renewed his attack on Monday evening via his Instagram Story, where he questioned MC Oluomo’s alleged involvement in the political tensions and thuggery reported in Osun State ahead of the election.
Tagging the NURTW president, the singer wrote: “@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game. I doubt lol look ur mirror.”
Recall that that Davido was appointed in April as the youth campaign leader for Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship poll.
