NYSC announces timetable for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Exercise

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled the schedule of activities for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.

According to a statement issued by the scheme’s director of information and public relations, Caroline Embu, the 21-day orientation program will be conducted simultaneously across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The exercise will begin with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and conclude at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony for the mobilized corps members is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, while the orientation course will officially end on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

NYSC management wished all prospective corps members safe journeys to their respective orientation camps nationwide. It also reiterated its warning against night travel, advising corps members to halt their journeys by 6:00 p.m.

The scheme urged them to spend the night at designated safe locations such as corps members’ lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their trips the following morning.
