The introduction of robotic surgery in Nigeria is expected to have a profound impact on the country’s healthcare sector.

Ekwenna said the partnership will provide structured training and certification programs for Nigerian and African surgeons, nurses, and biomedical engineers, elevating the standards of medical care in the region.

“This will not only enhance local capacity but also position Nigeria as a hub for advanced surgical care, attracting patients from across West Africa and beyond.

“The benefits to the health sector include improved patient outcomes, enhanced surgical capabilities, and the creation of opportunities for medical professionals to develop specialized skills,’’ he said.

According to him, the benefits of the invention to patients are numerous.
