Nigerian billionaire and politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, has reportedly caused the arrest of Ann, a close friend of his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
Ann was arrested on Monday in Lagos State by officers from the Ajah Police Division.
Confirming the incident, Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy, shared a video of the arrest on Instagram, stating that the police acted on a court order authorising Ann’s detention over alleged conspiracy, assault and theft.
Sammy, however, dismissed the allegations, insisting that Ann had never been to Senator Nwoko’s residence. He questioned the credibility of the charges and criticised both the judiciary and the police.
“There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy, theft and all? Omo, Nigeria has failed us,” he wrote.
