FCCPC seals off Abuja Paradise Estate over failure to deliver homes

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed Paradise Estate, located in Life Camp Extension, Abuja, over its failure to deliver homes that had already been paid for by subscribers.

According to the commission, the action followed numerous public complaints and other issues raised by subscribers regarding the estate. Despite these complaints, FCCPC said the estate’s management failed to meet the demands of the affected buyers.

As a result, officials of the commission visited the estate, leading to the eventual sealing of the premises.

Speaking to journalists, the FCCPC’s Deputy Director of Surveillance, Marvin Nadah, said the developer had been given a seven-day deadline to respond to an official summons but did not comply.

“The Commission has been inundated with complaints, particularly in the real estate sector, and some of those complaints were specific to Estates Limited,” Nadah said.

However, Paradise Homes’ Head of Legal, Aloysius Ezenwa, maintained that the transactions are covered under the existing “Contract of Sale,” while also confirming the development.
