Arsenal have suffered a significant injury serious setback following their 2-1 Premier League win over Wolves on Saturday, with defender Ben White expected to be sidelined.
White, who had only recently returned from an injury layoff, was named in the starting XI for the clash against the league’s bottom side. He partnered William Saliba in central defence, with the Frenchman making his first appearance in four matches after recovering from an ankle issue.
However, White’s return proved short-lived. The England international was forced off after pulling up while tracking back to stop a counter-attack, with the problem believed to be a hamstring injury.
As a result, White is now likely to miss Arsenal’s upcoming fixture against Everton, while the full extent of his injury and recovery timeline remain unclear.
