Chelsea’s owners, BlueCo, are set to see their attempt to sign Brighton’s Julio Enciso fall through.
Enciso was close to joining Strasbourg for this season, before transferring to Chelsea next year.
A fee around £13.8million was agreed between both Premier League clubs for the midfielder.
But the 21-year-old has reportedly failed a medical and the move is now in doubt, the Daily Mail reports.
Neither Brighton nor Chelsea have made any public comments on the speculation.
Enciso joined Brighton from Libertad in 2022 and has made 57 appearances for the club.
The Paraguayan has scored five goals and provided six assists for the Premier League club.
But his time with the Seagulls has been consistently interrupted by fitness problems.
