The draw for the semi-finals of this season’s Carabao Cup was held on Wednesday night following the conclusion of the quarter-final matches.
Newcastle United sealed their place in the last four with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fulham at St James’ Park. The Magpies left it late, with Lewis Miley rising to head home the winning goal against their Premier League rivals.
Earlier on Wednesday, Manchester City booked their semi-final ticket with a comfortable 2-0 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium. Chelsea had already secured progression on Tuesday after seeing off Cardiff City 2-0.
Holders Newcastle United have now been drawn against Manchester City in what promises to be a blockbuster semi-final clash. In the other tie, Chelsea will face the winner of the quarter-final encounter between Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
The first legs of the semi-final matches are scheduled for the week commencing January 12, while the return legs will be played in the week of February 2, 2026.
