The President-elect, Bola Tinubu has been sworn-in as the 16th president of Nigeria.

Tinubu was sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, at the Eagles Square in Abuja.

He was sworn-in after the President-elect, Kashim Shettima took his oath of office.

Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election after he garnered the highest number of votes.

He defeated the likes of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi of Labour Party, LP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

Despite his emergence, Atiku and Obi are contesting Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Tribunal.
