The All Progressives Congress has disqualified Senator Ipalibo Banigo, who represents Rivers West Senatorial District, from participating in the party’s senatorial primary election scheduled for Monday.
Also barred from the primaries are former Secretary to the Rivers State Government Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Ojukaye Flag Amachree, and businessman Tein Jack-Rich.
Meanwhile, the party cleared Senator Allwell Onyesoh of the Rivers East Senatorial District, alongside Felix Obua, Barry Mwara, and Osarosaka Ebenezer, to contest in the primaries.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Rivers State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Chibuike Ikenga, urged aspirants and party members to take note of the decision and comply with the party’s directive.
