Senegal have secured a place in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a narrow 1–0 victory over Egypt in Wednesday’s first semi-final.
The encounter was largely cagey, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut chances and shots on target few and far between for much of the contest.
The breakthrough came in the 75th minute when Sadio Mané pounced on a loose ball outside the penalty area and fired a powerful strike into the bottom corner to settle the tie.
The reigning champions will now face either hosts Morocco or Nigeria, who clash later tonight in the second semi-final, as Senegal look to claim another AFCON title.
