The General Overseer of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Paul Enenche, has expressed satisfaction over the reported involvement of the United States military in counterterrorism operations in Nigeria.
According to reports, the US military carried out an operation on Christmas night in Sokoto State, during which about 12 Tomahawk missiles were deployed against suspected Islamic extremists. The action was said to have been authorized by former US President Donald Trump and carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian government.
Sources indicated that several terrorists were neutralized during the operation.
Speaking during a church service in Abuja, Enenche, who has consistently spoken out against the killing of innocent Nigerians, said the development was encouraging and warned that more terrorists would face similar outcomes.
He also stated that those who sponsor, support, or collaborate with terrorists should not be spared.
“There are people who said if America comes, they will fight them. Let them go and fight the drones now,” Enenche said.
He added, “I have bad news for every terrorist, every sponsor, collaborator, and negotiator. I believe they should be dealt with gradually and without delay.”
