Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who represents Abia South, has explained why President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election.
Abaribe made the assertion on Monday during an appearance on Politics Today, a current affairs program on Channels Television.
According to the lawmaker, public sentiment across the country is not in favor of the president, insisting that the outcome of the 2027 election would reflect the will of Nigerians.
“Everybody loses elections at some point, and Tinubu will lose the 2027 election because I know how Nigerians are feeling outside,” Abaribe said.
He further claimed that President Tinubu did not genuinely win the 2023 presidential election, although he acknowledged his position as the country’s leader.
“Tinubu never won the 2023 election; everybody knows that. He was declared the winner, and we accepted him as president,” he stated.
Abaribe added that the opposition would be better prepared ahead of the next polls, warning that what he described as past irregularities would not recur.
“We will meet him on the field, and he won’t be able to put together what will make him win again. This time, everyone will be ready. There won’t be any late-night announcements. The masses are more prepared now,” he said.
