SummerSlam 2026: Nigeria’s Oba Femi defeats Brock Lesnar

Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi secured a historic victory on Saturday night, defeating Brock Lesnar in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at the 2026 SummerSlam.

The blockbuster main event took place at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, United States, with the Lagos-born WWE star emerging victorious in his first-ever Hell in a Cell contest.

Following the match, Lesnar praised Oba Femi, publicly endorsing the Nigerian as one of WWE’s future stars while describing himself as part of the company’s past.

Reacting to the gesture, Oba Femi paid tribute to the former UFC and WWE champion, admitting he was surprised by the embrace and endorsement.

“Brock is the Beast. The hug and public endorsement was definitely a sword, and I didn’t see that coming,” Oba Femi said.

“I know that deep down, Brock has always respected me, and he knows that deep down, I respect him as well.”

Oba Femi has enjoyed a remarkable debut year on WWE’s main roster.

The Nigerian wrestler defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania in April before capturing the King of the Ring crown in June.

Lesnar’s loss at SummerSlam also marked the first defeat of his career inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

The match further cemented Oba Femi’s rise as one of WWE’s fastest-growing stars.
