Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Nigeria Policy Group has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Adamu Usman Ahmed popularly known as SUPHI, stands the better chance to succeed Governor Bala Mohamed.
The group expressed confidence that the PDP candidate would prioritize job creation for youths if elected.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the group’s convener, Yerima Sani.
The group said Bauchi needs experienced, competent, and visionary leadership to sustain its development, describing Ahmed as a capable successor to Governor Bala Mohammed.
According to the statement, Ahmed is well-positioned to build on the achievements of the current administration while introducing policies that will drive sustainable development across the state.
“As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepares for the 2027 governorship election, many party faithful and supporters believe Adamu Usman Ahmed (SUPHI) possesses the vision and competence required to succeed Governor Bala Mohammed and consolidate the developmental strides recorded across Bauchi State.
“His aspiration is driven by a desire to create greater opportunities for young people, strengthen institutions, attract investment, and ensure that every community benefits from the dividends of good governance,” the statement said.
