The Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Tuesday paid a visit to former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami at his residence in Abuja.
The meeting took place just hours after Malami regained freedom from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), where he had been held for months.
While the purpose of the visit has not been officially disclosed, it is believed to be connected to Malami’s ongoing legal issues involving the DSS and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Malami was reportedly granted bail on Monday.
Meanwhile, a viral video circulating online showed the former Minister of Justice reuniting emotionally with his family following his release from detention.
