The newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for his swearing-in ceremony.
Nigerian Newssphere had earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu approved Disu’s appointment on Tuesday, naming him as the successor to the outgoing IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.
Disu, a seasoned officer, brings over three decades of experience in the Nigeria Police Force to his new role.
Born on April 13, 1966, in Lagos Island, Lagos State, he enlisted in the police on May 18, 1992, and has steadily climbed the ranks through years of service.
