Residents of the Doma community in the Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State, are under attack as armed bandits stormed the area on Tuesday, opening fire on residents and setting homes and vehicles ablaze.
The attack comes despite a previously agreed peace and surrender arrangement between the bandits and LGA stakeholders, raising fears of escalating violence in the area.
Security journalist Bakatsine, reporting the incident on X, called for the urgent deployment of security forces to Doma and surrounding communities to protect civilians, stop the ongoing attacks, and prevent further loss of lives and property.
