Lilian Adebayo , the wife of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Prince Adewole Adebayo has explained why the party can unseat the ruling All Progressive Party at the 2027 election.
Mrs Adebayo made this assertion known on Wednesday during an interview with journalists after an event in Abuja.
According to her, the opposition party has overcome its crisis after the expulsion of its former chairman, Shehu Gabam, and others.
She said Nigerians should vote APC out at the 2027 general election.
She noted that her husband, Adewole Adebayo, may secure a presidential ticket for 2027 due to his love for the party and Nigeria.
“He has being the mirror of SDP. He has opportunity to join other parties but he remained in SDP.
“There is alway crisis in party, SPD has been able to handle its own. The problems in the party hac been resolved.
“He got a great chance of winner the election if Nigerians are honest to themselve. If Nigerians think that the ones they consistently vote for would move the the country forward, they leave in denial”, she said.
Recall that SDP recently expelled Gabam and other party executives.
The party’s state chairmen on Wednesday urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and police to investigate Gabam over alleged misappropriation.
