New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP) has disclosed that it is focused on issue-based political campaigns ahead of the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
The Natinoal Publicity Secretary, NNPP, Dr Agbo Major made this known to Journalists during a two-day social media training for media professionals in Abuja on Tuesday tagged, ‘Approaching 2023 general election with social media as a tool for mobilization’.
He re-emphasised that his party is committed to rescueing Nigeria from the conundrum of insecurity, poverty and other impeding menace.
According to him, “NNPP campaign will be issues-based as we take the lead in strengthening and deepening our emerging democracy. We also urge other political parties and their candidates to imbibe issues-based campaign and eschew politics of bitterness and rancour that impeded the nation’s electoral process. INEC should also provide a level playing field to all political parties andwe their candidates participating in various elections. Nigerians, indeed the whole world expect free, fair, credible, transparent, generally acceptable and peaceful elections. The people’s mandate must be respected.
“NNPP voice must be heard and resonate across the nation with its message of hope for a NEW NIGERIA that has a future for all Nigerians. We see light at the end of the tunnel. We see a glorious future for our nation. We see a new Nigeria citizens will be proud of as the great arsenal of democracy in Africa. We see hope for the hopeless, help for the helpless, unity in diversity, prosperity for the impoverished, freedom for the oppressed and captives, voice for the voiceless and goodwill to citizens of the world. Nigeria shall be great again”, he said.
The event witnessed media professionals across the 36 States including the federal capital territory geared toward reshaping perspectives, narratives ahead of the forthcoming election.
Recall that Independent Electoral Commission(INEC) has fixed 28th September 2023 for the commencement of political campaigns ahead of 2023 presidential election.
